Hello, hello, hello!
If you are new here, welcome to my fourth blog traffic report. In these blog traffic reports, I try to show you how my traffic did in the past month and a sum result of how the blog is doing thus far.
Here is the last one, for your viewing pleasure.
I do this for a few reasons:
It helps me keep track of my own progress
It creates a reference point for me to look back and expand on
It shows whoever is starting out their blogging journey to know what to expect
It can be quite inspiring to know you are not alone in whatever stage you are
Some things that are important to notice:
I use Wix as my chosen blogging software because I like the ease of messing with it. Besides, I like other features such as their SEO Assistant. I saw their ads, had already heard about them, tried it out, and liked it, simple as that.
I don't use any type of paid traffic, as I plan to develop this blog organically for as long as I see fit.
I only use Pinterest to promote my posts but am thinking about expanding to Instagram
Let's dive into this month's blog traffic report

And here's is for thinking last month was the worst!
For reference, I started the blog on May 22nd 2023, so I start the traffic report analysis on the 23rd of the previous month and end it on the 22nd of the present month.
Site sessions: 2 site sessions
Unique visitors: 2
Avd. session duration: 4min 15s
And as you can tell, this month was even worse than my last, but that's ok.
As I talked about in my previous post, I'm getting deeper and deeper into the Ghost Town Phase, as the search engines are still getting to know my blog.
Something good happened though, which I don't understand why it's not accounted for in the visitors. I got to Google's first page organically with the keyword "blog traffic report". That's huge! Because of that, some of my most viewed posts are my second and third monthly blog traffic reports.
Another close contender was the ghost town phase one, so I noticed a pattern here. My posts talking about blog growth and traffic reports tend to be the most seen. Very interesting...
You might notice that, although the blog hasn't seen much movement this past month, all of my blog posts have at least 2 views, due to the Google bot indexing my pages. I feel better looking at my view count and knowing none have 0 views. Makes it less daunting.
My metrics on Pinterest
This month was an ok one for Pinterest, but we are starting to see traction again, after spending about 12 days away from it last month, in order for me to prepare the posts for the 30-day challenge.

As you can see, I've dropped in all my KPIs (key performance indicators for all of my non-corp readers out there) this month, because of a lack of activity at the end of August.
Sure enough, the more I posted throughout the month, the more movement I saw coming back.

On that note, one of my older pins started to perform better recently, which is the one regarding this post about networking.
Things I want to try for next time
Get a closer look at Pinterest Insights and maybe put out more content contemplating a more specific public. Let's see how this goes.
Start sending blog post links to the photographers I take my pictures from on Pexels again. That actually brought in some movement at the start, so why not?
Back to the blog and the final bigger picture

Even though this was not such a great month, growth is still growth, even if it's slow.
Site sessions: 61 site sessions
Unique visitors: 32
Avd. session duration: 1m 55s
I got 2 more site sessions and 2 more unique visitors. I've also expanded the list of countries my visitors come from, which is pretty neat.
And that's it for September! How did your blog perform this month? Let me know!
